Samer Khalidi
Partner
Founding partner of a US$750M MENA-focused private equity platform — a disciplined deal originator and operator with cycle-tested exits ranging from 2.0× to 4.3× cash-on-cash.
Samer is a Partner at Bio-nAbler and a private equity investment professional with more than twenty-five years of experience originating, executing and creating value through emerging market transactions. He has built and operated platforms, led transactions through cycles, and delivered exits at multiples of 2.0× to 4.3× cash-on-cash across consumer finance, healthcare-adjacent education, food and beverage, leasing, technology and aquaculture.
Samer is a founding member of NBK Capital Partners (NBKCP), the private equity and mezzanine business of National Bank of Kuwait, which he helped grow to US$750 million in assets under management. He sat on multiple boards, executive committees and audit committees of portfolio companies, designed and codified the firm's post-acquisition value creation framework and served on both the Investment and Portfolio Review Committees. Marquee transactions under his leadership include Nayifat Installment Company (Saudi consumer finance — book grown 10×, exited at 2.1× C-o-C and ~17.5% IRR), Newton Schools (Qatari K-12 — exited at 4.3× C-o-C and ~47.5% IRR), Hanco (Saudi auto leasing — exited at 2.0× C-o-C and ~20.1% IRR) and Kilic (the largest aquaculture company in Turkey).
Samer subsequently served as Head of Private Equity at Alkhabeer Capital (Jeddah), where he led a c. US$250M AUM book and upgraded the firm's investment processes, post-acquisition governance and executive committee structures. He is now Managing Director of Daleel Advisors, undertaking merchant banking and advisory mandates across sectors — including a major regional pharmaceuticals company — and serves on the Board of an Egyptian manufacturer leading its turnaround.
Earlier in his career, Samer was an Associate at McKinsey & Company in Dubai, where his work included strategic planning for a leading GCC tertiary care institution; an Investment Manager at ASTRA Group in Jordan; and an Investment Officer at Olayan Financing Company in Saudi Arabia, where he sourced and closed US$75M in direct investments and led operational restructurings across the family group's holdings. He also maintains a personal portfolio of direct investments including Genpharm (a GCC distributor of chronic and rare disease therapies) and several technology-enabled businesses.
Samer holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Political Science and Economics from Brown University.
